Blueberry Festival of Quilts

The Blueberry Festival of Quilts returns to Nacogdoches this year on June 7 and 8.  It is held in conjunction with Nacogdoches’ Texas Blueberry Festival presented by Tipton Ford-Lincoln. 

The biennial quilt show features over 100 quilts produced by beginners to master quilters.  It will be held at Fredonia Hill Baptist Church, 1411 South Street in Nacogdoches.  Hours are 10am to 5 pm on Friday and 9am to 4 pm on Saturday.  Admission is $5 at the door.

The Festival of Quilts is a judged show.  Highlights include demonstrations of sewing and quilting techniques and tools, displays, a country store, a silent auction, and door prize gift baskets.  A beautiful quilt will be raffled off to benefit local charities.

Information will be available about joining the Nacogdoches Quilters Guild, an active talented group.  Everyone with an interest in quilting is welcome, no experience required.
